And many kids (including myself) were going to school still in the spring. I never did like going to school anyhow. I always get bored in every class I went to. It always felted like I've been there for almost hours. But I always loved to daydream when I'm learning about whatever pop into my head. I always think of imaginary characters that weren't real to others who don't like to dream. But dragons would always pop into my dreams. No one ever knows what I'm thinking, not even my best friends.

She hurriedly unfolded the small piece of paper and read "Go to the edge of the river and say 'Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam, send us to a place as fast as you can.'" The four of us went to the river and chanted the words. Suddenly, there was a bright flash. And we all were starting to disappear! "What's going on?!?!" cried Mona. "We're tele-porting!" I cried. Then the flash of light disappeared, and we found our selves in a field. "Where are we?" asked Sam. An African American came along and asked "Are you new here?" "Excuse me sir…but what state is this?" asked Amanda.

The cold tore through the numbness with a heart of dedicated fear. The storms roared off granite ridges, tall and sharp, raised like swords to scrape the ice-bleeding sky. Flight was nearly impossible in a storm like this, but the choice he had was little, and his feelings drove him so. A mist ripped across a slanting sleet of white, rotating in eddies before him, rolling from jutting ledges and frozen falls of ice. The granite was broken, almost melted. It was all he could do to keep from blowing into those peaks. The wind wanted him dead, and was treacherous now. He had to hide from his pursuers, but couldn't escape the destiny that had been found for the rest of his kind. The winds chilled bone to ice, cracking ebony-black scales across the distance of mankind. Leaking blood, he bit on the pain. The blood was hard and crystalline, dark and frigid, cracking into the hands of those who chased him. They liked his blood, and had tasted it more than he wished. But he flew away from them; resisted when no one else would. Now they were close behind.
