The Gryphon's Guild was founded by Lady Zadeen because several people contacted her, saying how little Gryphon information was out there, and how
obscure Gryphon myths and legends are. The Gryphon's Guild was fonded to get the word out about this wonderful beast, to provide a forum for Gryphon discussion, and to provide a place for Grypsophiles and those Gryphon at heart to meet and mingle. For centuries these magical, gentle creatures have been adored by fantasy &
dragon lovers all over the world. This campaign is dedicated to the cause to keep these wonderfull creatures alive, and protect their image from people who try to make them look evil in any way, shape or form.
Dragons have been slandered and liabled for years. The malicious rumours soon led to dragons gaining a bad reputation. Sadly this has made it hard for dragons to make friends. Many of the people they meet won't even give them a chance. Also the risk of being mugged by dragonists in the street forces many dragons to stay at home. . .
The association of dragons with evil began over a thousand years ago,
when Satan was identified as a dragon in the Bible, and that Beowulf guy tried to stab one and got chewed up. As time passed, villagers, who had little else to do while washing the clothes or tilling the fields, made up tales about the poor beasts, transforming them into hideous,fire-breathing monstrosities that hoarded treasure and tore apart virgin sacrifices. Meanwhile, the dragons sat in their caves, playing poker with pebbles for chips. They avoided the human race because they were uncomfortable with the fear that their appearance inspired in those tiny beings from the wooden caves. They didn't want to cause any trouble.
I support all the campaigns to "save", "adopt" and "love" the dragons. We dragon lovers believe that dragons still exist somewhere on our world. Sometimes, out of the corner of your eye, you can catch the flicker of wings. But when you turn, they disappear. . .
